A small desert country in Ivalice, situated between the wars of Archadia and Rozarria. Prior to  undertaking by the empire of Archadia, it was led by the royal family under a monarchy which descended from the bloodline of the Dynast King Raithwall. This monarchy is also restored post the events of FFXII.

The country is a rich source of various forms of nethicite, a variety of magicite, which serves as a source of energy in Ivalice.

Following the wedding of the royal family’s Princess Ashe B’nargin Dalmasca to Lord Rassler Heios Nabradia, of the neighboring kingdom of Nabradia, the imperial airfleet and armies attacked both countries in the Battle of Nalbina Fortress and killed both Lord Rassler and Ashe’s father, King Raminas. Following these events, the common belief was that Princess Ashe had committed suicide.
